The Story Behind NecklaceStay: A Labor of Love

In 2019, after years of dealing with the frustration of necklace clasps spinning to the front, I finally decided to do something about it. Like many jewelry lovers, I loved wearing necklaces, but I was constantly irritated by the clasp twisting around to the front. It was a small thing, but it completely ruined the look of my outfit and made wearing necklaces more of a hassle than a joy.

I tried everything I could think of—heavy necklace weights, fixed pendant styles, counterweights—yet nothing worked. I realized this was a problem I had to solve for myself and for all the other necklace wearers out there who shared this same frustration.

That’s when the idea for NecklaceStay came to life. I wanted to create something that would keep necklace clasps anchored in place so they wouldn’t spin around. I envisioned a discreet solution that would not only work but also add style to the necklace-wearing experience.

After three years navigating the patent process, I was thrilled to receive a U.S. utility patent in 2022. I then spent the next two years perfecting NecklaceStay—refining the design, sourcing the best rare-earth magnets, and ensuring the product was strong, durable, yet lightweight and stylish.

By late 2024, I reached a huge milestone: receiving my first inventory and preparing for the launch of NecklaceStay. It wasn’t just about creating a product—it was about solving a real problem in a practical, stylish way and giving people the confidence to wear their necklaces without worrying about them shifting out of place.

Now, as I prepare to debut NecklaceStay at NY NOW, I’m excited to share this innovative add-on accessory with retailers who sell necklaces.
