Hi, I’m Jaclyn, a mom from Connecticut and the inventor of NecklaceStay. In 2019, the idea came to me during a conversation about the frustrating issue of necklace clasps rotating to the front, making necklaces look messy. I loved necklaces but hated wearing them because of this constant clasp-spin problem. That’s when I realized rotating clasps weren’t just an annoyance—they were a universal issue without a real solution.

Determined to fix it, I kept the idea for NecklaceStay under wraps, filed a utility patent, and began prototyping to create something both functional and stylish. After three years navigating the patent process, I was thrilled to receive a U.S. utility patent in 2022. From there, I spent two years working alongside a leading global jewelry manufacturer, refining every detail, testing materials, and sourcing the strongest rare-earth magnets to ensure NecklaceStay was durable, lightweight, discreet, and effective.

As a self-funded, bootstrapped venture, this journey has been both a labor of love and a family effort, with my family supporting me every step of the way. By late 2024, I reached a major milestone—receiving my first inventory and preparing for the launch of NecklaceStay. This was more than just creating a product—it was about solving a real problem in a practical, stylish way and giving people confidence every time they wear a necklace.

In February 2025, we debuted NecklaceStay at NY NOW at the Javits Center, where it was one of three finalists for the Trailblazer Innovation Awards and won a spot in the Nelly Rodi Future Trends Gallery under the ‘Up Simplicity’ theme. The feedback has been amazing, and hearing people call the product "such a smart idea" made all the years of hard work worth it.
