How It Started
Hi, I’m Jaclyn, a mom from Connecticut and the inventor of NecklaceStay®. In 2019, the idea came to me during a conversation about the frustrating issue of necklace clasps rotating to the front. I loved necklaces but hated wearing them because of this constant clasp-spin problem. That’s when I realized it wasn’t just an annoyance for me—it was a universal issue without a real solution.
Determined to solve it, I kept the idea for NecklaceStay quiet while I filed a utility patent and started prototyping something both functional and stylish.
From Patent to Product
After three years navigating the patent process, I was thrilled to receive a U.S. utility patent in 2022. From there, I worked closely with a leading global jewelry manufacturer, refining every detail, testing materials, and sourcing the strongest rare-earth magnets so NecklaceStay would be durable, lightweight, discreet, and effective.
Building From Scratch
This journey has been completely self-funded and truly a family effort. My husband and kids have supported me every step of the way. By late 2024, I reached a huge milestone: my first inventory was ready, and I was finally preparing to launch NecklaceStay.
Stepping Into the World
In February 2025, NecklaceStay debuted at the NY NOW show at the Javits Center. It was chosen as one of three finalists for the Trailblazer Innovation Awards and featured in the NellyRodi Future Trends Gallery under the “Up Simplicity” theme. Hearing people call it “such a smart idea” made every year of hard work worth it.
Why Polar Bling?
When I created the brand, I wanted a name that blended science with style. Polar comes from the magnet poles that make NecklaceStay work. Bling is about the jewelry we love to wear. Together, Polar Bling represents smart, practical solutions that make jewelry more enjoyable.
What It Means to Me
NecklaceStay isn’t just about fixing a clasp problem. It’s about making life a little easier and helping people feel confident every time they wear a necklace.
